Forget about the groundhog, everyone knows spring doesn’t come until the Salt Truck arrives… Join us at the Follies!

22 Minutes' Mark Critch performs...
Live Art Dance presents a fundraiser evening of fun and farce in celebration of the company’s 30th Season. The night will feature a “Halifamous” dance competition with celebrity judges, comedy, entertainment, music, a silent auction, a chocolate bar, and – of course – dancing!
This year our Maîtresse de Cérémonie, Cathy Jones, will get things rolling in her inimitable fashion, while Act One favourites Meghan MacDowell, Zuppa Theatre Co., and The Woods will keep things lively. Act Two will introduce a brand new edition of Dancing with the Halifamous, featuring: former Lieutenant Governor, The Hon. Mayann Francis; Minister of Communities, Culture, and Heritage, The Hon. Leonard Preyra; cultural maven, Gay Hauser; and Dalhousie Art Gallery Director, Peter Dykhuis! Choreography will be provided by Jacinte Armstrong, Alexis Cormier, Veronique MacKenzie, and Alexis Milligan, while Celebrity Judges Fred Connors, Tara Doyle, and Charlie Rhindress will keep things honest. Who will triumph and claim this year’s Halifamous Dance Crown? There’s only one way to find out!
CBC’s Information Morning co-host Louise Renault and her band 6 Degrees will fill the night with music, guaranteeing a festive time for all!
The evening will also feature a fantastic Silent Auction, Cash Bar, Chocolate Bar, and more… Please join us to help Live Art Dance celebrate 30 years of presenting exceptional dance from the local, national, and international communities!
When: March 9, 2013 / 8:30pm – doors open 7:30pm
Where: Meinertzhagen Theatre / Halifax Grammar School / 945 Tower Rd.
