Live Dance Moves!
BJM Danse has got moves!
At Live Art Dance we realise that tomorrow’s dancers need experience today, so we created a special package that gives young dancers first hand experience in the world of live performing arts. Participants meet as a group with a local professional dance artists immediately prior to each show; as a group they discuss the work they are about to see, everything from the choreographer’s background and historical influences to the role of lights, technology, and other collaborative partners.
The discussions are fun and informative and set up the context for the work they are about to see. When possible, the visiting choreographers will come and join the pre-show discussion… always a good thing to get information straight from the source!
Following the talk, the group watches the show together before going backstage to meet the artists involved. Fun and informative, Live Dance Moves! connects young dancers with professionals at every show!
2012-13 registration fee: $60 (includes all seven shows)
