The Live Art Chat is a pre-show guest lecture series that offers audiences informed insight into themes being addressed within any given performance. Fresh discussion about the here and now of contemporary dance, join our guest speakers at 7PM on opening night performances.
Betrayal, Vengeance, & Love – Life in a Tempest
Join Live Art Dance and Dr. Ronald Huebert for a Live Art Chat prior to watching The Tempest Replica by internationally renowned company, Kidd Pivot. Dr. Huebert is a long-time member of the Department of English at Dalhousie University. He has published widely on the drama and culture of the age of Shakespeare and he has taught and lectured on the works of Shakespeare for close to forty years. In this talk, he will consider some of the central themes and characters of “The Tempest”, with the aim of enriching the audience’s experience of Kidd Pivot’s The Tempest Replica.
